Texas Lone Star Lending has been an active force in the mortgage business since 1996. First licensed in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, the company moved to the Austin area in 1998 and now is headquartered in Lakeway. The company's initial focus was residential lending due to the vast experience of its founding broker, Stacy Bray. In 2003, with the addition of her husband Steve, the company added a commercial financing division.

 Steve joined Texas Lone Star Lending in 2003 to manage the commercial financing division following 17 years in the computer software industry. Steve started his software career with Schlumberger in Austin. After 10 years, he launched his own company to develop do-it-yourself Web site software for small businesses. After suffering through the tech downturn, Steve joined a software start-up in Austin specializing in health care software. He held positions as Vice-President of Research & Development and Vice-President of Sales & Marketing before retiring from software to apply his years of experience to help investors and businesses find and secure sources of financing.
In September 2007, Steve received his residential Loan Officer's license from the State of Texas. He still can help you with commercial financing. The residential license gives him to ability to work with investors on ALL income-producing properties types.
Steve is active in the local business community. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce and as Chairman of the Northwest Austin Chamber.
 Stacy has excelled in the mortgage and banking business for over 19 years. In her career she has viewed the mortgage industry from many sides, including as a bank branch manager, underwriter, investor, educator, and loan originator.
Her involvement with builders and realtors has given her additional perspective. She received several awards recognizing her contribution to the Builder's Association and the Women's Council of Realtors while chairing committees for the Tarrant County Builders Association, including the Judging Committee for the Spring Tour of Homes and the Kaleidoscope of Homes.
Stacy has been very active in the Mortgage Broker's Association. She previously served on the Board of Directors for the Central Texas chapter, chaired the PAC Committee for the state association, and chaired the Subcommittee on Financial Literacy and served on the Education Committee for the national association.
For both Stacy and Steve, family is very important. They stay very busy with kids, grandkids, church, and community. Stacy has 7 children ranging from 30 to 19 years old. Her oldest, Jane, graduated from Texas A&M and is married living in the Dallas area. She has provided us with three wonderful grandchildren. Robert also is married, living in Denton, and has three beautiful, little girls. Nancy graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY and is living in Oklahoma. Emily is a freshman at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches. She is studying elementary education. RJ graduated from Wentworth Academy and currently is attending New Mexico Military Institute.
